Gaia – Habitat interplanetario: la “Comedìa cosmica”
(Gaia – Interplanetary habitat: the “Cosmic comedy”)

1988-1989
Preparatory drawing in pencil on satin plexiglas, recto-verso.
cm. 500 x 200 (two panels, the third was not produced).
Private collection

The Gaia project – incomplete – is made up of a large sketched drawing in pencil fixed with liquid polyester on plexiglas. It represents a sidereal space to be viewed from the bottom up: from far away one can perceive human dust particles that create a sort of vaulted ceiling suspended between dreamlike architectural structures. Gaia becomes the new earth, an imaginary interplanetary habitat for human beings; and now the “vault” of the House Museum.
