Great Artwork no. 3

Labirinto senza filo d'Arianna
(Labyrinth without Ariadne’s thread)

1976-1977
Structure in plexiglas, glass and steel
cm. 300 x 200 x 45
Collezione B&B Novedrate, Como

The first labyrinthian artwork in which the viewer is asked to lose one’s sense of direction, inspired by a flux of glimpses, surprises and unexpected views captured during a walk around Venice. The stories, tied to political and social themes, as well as private ones, are strongly linked together. Helma is not there to serve as a guide and thus we are without Ariadne’s thread.
